The Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American studies seeks grant proposals up to $25,000 for projects that promote an understanding of the historic relationship between the United States and Austria in the fields of history, politics, economics, law, cultural studies, and public history.
Austrian Marshall Plan Professor Honored
Historian Günter Bischof was awarded the “Science Prize of the Year” by his home state of Vorarlberg on November 11, 2019. Bischof, a native of Mellau, Vorarlberg, studied history and English at the University of Innsbruck before earning a Master’s degree at The University of New Orleans and a Ph.D. at Harvard University.

The scholarship covers the participation fee to all events at the three weeks program in Alpbach, Austria, and up to EUR 500 for travel expenses. Additional subsidies are available for accommodation and daily allowances.

The Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies (BIAAS) seeks grant and fellowship proposals for projects that promote an understanding of the historic relationship between the United States and Austria (including Habsburg Austria) in the fields of history, politics, economics, law, cultural studies, and public history.
