Topic: Development of a Novel Targeted CAR-T cell Enhancer
Regarding the description of the project and the stay so far, the Rashidian Lab is currently focused on improving CAR T cell therapy, which has already been clinically approved as both a standalone and combination treatment and has demonstrated effectiveness even in heavily pretreated patients with challenging therapeutic responses. The lab specifically aims to reduce side effects, lower the required dosage, and decrease the likelihood of relapse. These improvements are being demonstrated through both in vitro and in vivo studies.
So far, the learning experiences in the lab have been entirely positive, and the individual consistently feels confident in taking on assigned tasks. This confidence stems from the structured introduction to laboratory procedures, which involves first observing the techniques and then performing them independently multiple times. All lab members demonstrate a high level of patience when teaching new tasks and ensure that full confidence is achieved before delegating responsibilities. At the same time, the trust placed in the individual further reinforces their confidence in performing the tasks accurately and responsibly.
