AMPF Poster Session 2026

On October 20, 2026, the AMPF Poster Session 2026 brought together an outstanding community of scholars, researchers, alumni, and friends of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation at the Austrian Cultural Forum New York. The evening celebrated academic excellence, international collaboration, and the innovative spirit that defines Marshall Plan Fellows.

The evening began with the poster exhibition, giving participants the opportunity to present their research directly to attendees and the jury. The face-to-face discussions created a dynamic atmosphere of intellectual exchange and showcased the impressive breadth and quality of research across a wide range of disciplines.

Following the exhibition, Bernhard Stolberg of the Austrian Cultural Forum officially welcomed the guests. Karin Emprechtinger, on behalf of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation, then offered a few introductory words and expressed the Foundation’s gratitude to everyone who had contributed to making the evening possible.

Wolfgang Petritsch, President of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation, delivered the opening remarks and then handed over to his former colleague Gregor Kössler, Austria’s Ambassador to the United Nations in New York, for one of the highlights of the evening. In his keynote address, Ambassador Kössler reflected on the importance of international cooperation, academic exchange, and strong transatlantic ties in addressing today’s global challenges.

Alexandra Lieben, President of ASciNA and member of the award jury, then shared her perspective before the evening moved to the much-anticipated Poster Session Award Ceremony.

The awards recognized outstanding research achievements and celebrated the dedication, creativity, and impact of the participating scholars:

🥇 1st Prize: Therese Mandl
🥈 2nd Prize: Mónika Farsang
🥉 3rd Prize: Phillipp Trollmann

Beyond the awards, the evening provided plenty of opportunities to connect. During the reception, researchers, alumni, academic leaders, and friends of the Foundation from both sides of the Atlantic exchanged ideas, explored future collaborations, and strengthened the community around the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation.

We look forward to continuing to celebrate outstanding research and to creating opportunities that bring people and ideas together across the Atlantic.
