Topic: Antibody targeting senescent cells to help mitigate the effects of age-related diseases.
"Hi, my name is Sabina, and I am conducting research for my bachelor’s thesis at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts.
I work in the Cancer Immunology and Virology Department, where I am developing an antibody targeting senescent cells to help mitigate the effects of age-related diseases. What excites me most about this project is the combination of autonomy in experimental planning and design with the strong guidance and mentorship from my supervisor. Over the past few weeks, I have already learned a wide range of new techniques and approaches, and I look forward to expanding my skills every day during this research exchange.
This summer, I have also participated in the Harvard Immunology Internship through Dana-Farber, attending lectures and workshops that have strengthened my understanding and critical thinking skills in immunology.
