The 2020 Austrian Marshall Plan Poster Awards

The Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation Poster Award recognizes excellence in science communication that stands out in terms of scientific quality, significance to the respective scientific field, structure and clarity of the presented posters, and video pitches.
Members of the Research and Innovation Network Austria - RINA in North America have shared their outstanding contributions with us. RINA members have been invited to submit their abstracts, posters and pitches to participate in the 2020 Poster Session. A competitive evaluation of the abstracts by an expert jury of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) has selected the Top 10 Posters, which were entered to compete for the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation Poster Awards.
The award winners were announced a during the virtual 2020 Austrian Research and Innovation Talk (ARIT) on Thursday, September 17, 2020 in cooperation with the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), and the Office of Science and Technology Austria (OSTA) in Washington, DC.
The winners are:
First place: Lukas Fischer (Massachusetts Institute of Technology)
Neural representations of landmarks during navigation
Second place: Jennifer Simonjan (Georgia Institute of Technology)
Localization and Tracking of In-Body BionanosensorMeasurements via Inertial Positioning and ThZ backscattering communication
Third place: Dennis Svatunek (University of California, Los Angeles)
Rational Design of Bioorthogonal Reactants using Energy Decomposition Methods
