The successful applicant will carry the title of Visiting Professor and Marshall Plan Anniversary Chair.

Eligibility
Applicants should possess an earned Ph.D. degree in a field relevant to the 2012-2013 program. Mid-career government experts will be considered as candidates  too.

Obligations of the Chair
The successful applicant will be expected to be in residence at the University of New Orleans during the 2012-2013 academic year, i.e. August 15, 2012  – May 15, 2013.  During that time, the Chair will teach a total of three courses to be mutually agreed upon by the Marshall Plan Chair and Department Chair.  In addition, the MP Chair will be expected to take part in the activities of Center Austria, including participation in its annual symposium and the delivery of at least one public lecture in March 2013.

Compensation
