Home: Medizinische Universität Innsbruck
Host: Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), New York, NY
Topic: clinical outcomes of Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection therapy compared to standard of care (SOC) in various joints

Dr. Öttl is a MD research fellow at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where he works under Dr. Rodeo, an expert in sports medicine and orthobiologics.

The lab in New York focuses on translating cutting-edge orthobiologics research into innovative treatments for joint injuries. Dr. Öttl's passion lies in leveraging machine learning to improve patient outcomes and he is currently developing an explainable machine learning model that predicts the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma injections in a range of patients, something that has not been done before.
